Mini-trip to Michigan...

...and a visit to the art festival at Ann Arbor was another highlight of our weekend. Our daughter, son-in-law, and their son (and Maya the dog) enjoyed Ann Arbor with us; then Bryan's fiancee Nikki joined us for a little family time and dinner at a superb Italian restaurant. I didn't take a lot of pictures at the art festival...too busy enjoying the displays, but I did remember to snap this picture of Nikki and Bryan at their front door before we headed to dinner.

Thanks to everyone who left comments on yesterday's blip of my carousel ride. If you are interested in seeing more pictures of the carousel, I have posted them here. I recommend a visit to the Merry-Go-Round Museum for anyone who is near the Toledo/Sandusky area. It is a fascinating place. If you go on a weekday, you can actually watch the volunteer carvers who do an amazing job of restoring the merry-go-round animals. We plan to go back to see that.
