Busy bee

Today's the day .......................... to get stuck in

It had to be a garden blip today - because that's where I've been all day.

While Will was still up on the greenhouse roof juggling panes of glass and putty - I got stuck in to hacking back the undergrowth, re-potting plants and picking gooseberries.

This little bee was fairly getting stuck in to all the sedum flowers that are open just now. If you look closely, you can see he has rolled up his trousers and he's standing on tip-toes so he can get his head right inside the flowerhead.

This one is for BKeeper - because I know he would be able to tell me what sort of bee this is - and whether bees can actually stand on their tip-toes ...............................
