Gallowhill covenanters cairn

well good evening. I have had a weekend off as my host was nightshift all weekend and has had very little time to get out.
Anyway, today we visited Gallowhill cairn which is a memorial built by striking Ayrshire miners in the 1920's to remember James Smith of Threepwood, Galston who gave his life in the name of standing up for freedom of choice. Smith died in Mauchline castle as a result of injuries received from Claverhouses dragoons.
we are going through a period of huge change and at least nobody has to give their life for the freedoms we now have. Lets look at this story and realise the unique opportunity we have coming up and seize the opportunity. All the best my friends.
