London entomology
In London all day for the first Proms chamber concert of the season at Cadogan Hall, nice lunch, galleries and a bit of shopping. I thought I might be stuck for a photo even slightly connected with my normal wildlife and countryside themes, but I was saved by the Saatchi Gallery. This installation - Casa Tomada by Rafael Gomezbarros - was really spectacular. The ants are made of cast human skulls and it is meant to be a commentary on the plight of millions of displaced people who are constantly crossing the planet in search of asylum, and who are rendered invisible by the media. I found it very powerful.
