A Day At A Time.

Viva España

It has been one of those days. We only went to the post office. Then we thought we'd have a little brunch in JB's in Torreguadiaro. And then just a bit of shopping in Mercadona.

When we got back to the car, the battery had died. Not a thing. Dead as last year's dodo. The assitencia were called and duly arrived 40 minutes later. The car started at once with a little electrical help and off we went homewards.

I removed the battery and we drove in my car to Carrefour in La Linea and purchased a replacement. When I fitted it to Jacqui's car and we turned the key... nada!

These budget batteries apparently come uncharged. Fat lot of use that was. So after a jump from my car, Jacqui drove to Estepona and back to charge up the new battery.

So after six and a half hours, we returned from the post office and collapsed in a heap. Fortunately our dinner engagement for the evening was cancelled and so a bbq with feet up was very welcome.

You never know what's going to happen here. That's part of the appeal, I suppose!
