When on holiday and staying with folk that don't have pets this challenge became "a challenge".

This afternoon (it rained this morning) we did a substantial walk. Up the Matai Valley walk/bike trail, then up the back side of the Botanical Hill to the Centre of NZ - wow what a view, then down the other side and back into Nelson city where we parked the car.

While walking I was ever hopeful of finding a dog being walked. I set my shutter speed highish and did some "walk-by shooting" OMG, not easy, practise is needed. I got legs, I got shadows, I got the path, I got part of the owner, but not too many dogs, in fact only two.

However, Marlon was very friendly and much loved by his friendly owner. She let me take a picture, he was fascinated by my lens and came so close - I have got his nose slightly sharp. What a cutie pie he was.
