Weaning the wean
Today was a very exciting day for Kerr - he had his first taste of baby rice! He seemed quite receptive to it and took about 4 or 5 small spoonfuls of it, then promptly went for his longest daytime nap to date - 2 hours!
I suspect it wasn't just the baby rice which made him sleepy. He had a rather exciting morning too - we went to our free trial class at Gymboree. It involved lots of mats, foam wedges, shutes, chiffon scarves, bubbles, a parachute, maracas, Bumbo seats, finger puppets and 10 other wee babies. I was ready for a nap after it too!
This afternoon we went to Tesco for a food shop. It's the first time Kerr has sat in the trolley at the supermarket and he loved looking at all the signs hanging from the ceiling and all the coloured products on the shelves - hmm, who needs to pay £26 per month to Gymboree when we can go to Tesco and be entertained for free!
Don't think we will go back to Gymboree. We are going to stick with Kindermusik which is on again tomorrow, and maybe try Rhyme Time at the local library once a week. I didn't realise there were so many 'baby groups' available - he needs a PA!
