Ode to Joy

Went to a concert tonight in the ancient abbey in Cerisy (Calvados, Normandy) which was a part of the programme linked to the 70th D Day commemorations.
It was a wonderful evening listening to Beethoven's 9th with an inspired young orchestra and a combination of 4 choirs of many different European nationalities and who created an absolutely fantastic sound that reverberated around the abbey.
