Disappearing icons

Met up with husband at the station on the way home for a drink. As the weather was looking decidedly dodgy, we had our drink at the pub by the station. Not the most salubrious place but nice to stop and have a chat.

We picked up some bits for tea and then decided to walk home rather than wait 30 mins for the bus. We went past the Metal Box building - a landmark in Reading for many years. It is now being demolished slowly by machines that are nibbling away at it bit by bit. It will be replaced by another bland office building.

Beat the bus home and didn't get rained on either. Glad it is the weekend.
