Loughrigg Tarn

and Langdale Pikes

There wasn't much blue sky until mid afternoon but it's been warm. We decided to get out early (a good move) and just do a walk from home. Advantages of the route around Loughrigg are that there isn't much ascent and the views are constantly changing.

A good morning out and many wild flowers on the way. Need to get the identification book out for a few. About an hour into the walk we passed the group i photographed outside the thai restaurant yesterday.

If we had done the walk clockwise there would have been an ice cream van close to the finish!
