RA Summer Exhibition

Great day today attending the RA Summer Exhibition. There were some stunning entries and some that were beyond my understanding/pretty ropey/defying description/on a much higher plane than I could reach/an acquired taste*

The Summer Exhibition represents what is happening in the art world right now with art created by everyone/anyone including ordinary people who just have a go, emerging artists and more well-known names in contemporary art and architecture. It is the world’s largest open entry exhibition, running for 250 years – anyone can enter (12,000 applied this year). I'd love to have a go sometime.

I love the way Joshua Reynolds looks at "Discover the New" with a slightly bemused expression.
