painting

i painted this today. i haven't really painted anything ever before. i used to paint cartoon characters on my walls and stuff. but never anything that didn't have an outline, or simple guidlines on colours.

this is out of the blue. i had no clue what i was doing. shawn had to go to micheals to get resin to put on top of the table with the mosaic in it, since the mosiac doesn't quite sit even with the top of the table. while we were there, i came across canvasses and paint.

i picked up a few bottles, shawn found me a canvas book. so if i really wanted any of my things on a canvas, shawn said he would make me one.

i came back here, and just, started painting.
sidenote: this was all done with my fingers.. i wasn't sure how else to paint, it seems like the best choice for blending. plus i like how expressive it feels to paint with the flow of your hands.

i'm the same with drawing, thats actually why i prefer to draw artistic nudes, because of t he flow of a womans body, and the beauty. it's just a wonderful feeling when you get right down to it.

anywho.. this is what i somehow miraculously managed. i'm pretty proud of myself... i'm undecided as to whether i want to put the sihlouette (sp?) of tree branches (done in black) in the foreground.. i'm afraid to ruin it though. i probably won't bother. maybe i'll make another that i can put branches on.
