John Barleycorn - stay of execution

Up early this morning scouting locations. Shot a bunch of stuff but the light was so murky that I deleted it all, nothing worth keeping. Met this brown hare (don't know who was more surprised, me or him) and some grey partridges, but no good shots. Then I took lots of shots of a field of barley, but they all came out dim and murky too - unlike this field of barley I shot last weekend when the light was much better, but I couldn't get close enough to compose the right shot. Looks a bit better LARGE - hit that L key.

Still, make the most of the barley you meet on your travels, it won't be with us much longer. It's already been cut down in Hampshire.
