Trapped

There aren't many creatures that I prefer to see dead. This is one of them. I'm extremely allergic to Horse Fly bites.

All Horse Flies have incredible luminous patterned eyes. To get a good macro the best practice is to catch one, kill it and snap it quick before the colours disappear. I trapped this one, which is a Band Eyed Brown Horse Fly, or Tabanus bromius , if you prefer the Latin, and took this snap through the glass before the little b*^"*@ escaped.

I'm sure there will be others around as they love this warm humidity we are having at the moment.
