Dave's old school bag

Dave found this in the garage when we were at his mum's last week. His remembrances...

"I was walking to Ngongotaha School one day when this kid grabbed my bag and threatened to throw it in the river. An older kid, a friend of my brother's grabbed it back and roughed up the other boy. The justice of the time. Funny now to think you could fit all you needed for the day into a little bag like that. It was quite neat to swing it around as you walked. After I had finished with it, it was requisitioned by my father and used as a fishing bag. The only thing about it that annoyed me was that the surface of the bag did not allow stickers to stick to it, that was a disappointment."
