I have a thing for..

...broken umbrellas. As seen here and here. They always add a splash of colour to a wet, grey day. While it irks me that people never seem able to actually put their broken 'brellas in a bin, there is something deeply metaphorical about a discarded umbrella. Once a protector, now laying broken and forgotten on the ground. Maybe I'm thinking too much into this?
