This is the source of the stream which runs through the Castle Country Park and out into the town proper. The light patch in the centre, towards the bottom of the picture would indicate where the water is welling up from the ground, causing the ice to thin on the surface. Today is a very cold day, with the mercury stuck down at -4C, and a forecast overnight low close to -10C again.
