Game on...

Not even rain stops play here in the West of Scotland. For the past few Saturday mornings, I've been taking my mum to a weekly appointment in Erskine, I've been using the time productively by trail running along the banks of the River Clyde, under the Erskine Bridge.

Mar Hall, a 5 star spa hotel to die for, has a golf course that, like me, runs alongside the river.

Today's blip captured a bunch of golfers, braving the weather to enjoy the morning round.

Further south, in Liverpool, Rory McIlroy was forging ahead at the Open - finishing the day 16 under par and 6 clear shots in the lead.

Calling off his wedding recently, only a few weeks before the big day, he's been on scorching form since. Seems Rory's got his mojo back.

I'm looking forward to the conclusion of what's been a great competition so far, tomorrow.
