200!!!
....165 to go!
An early start today, after a night of me dragging myself out of bed at 2 in the morning to capture some lightening. Even though I had been on a works night out I left my camera set up before I went to bed, however....I didn't check my battery status. But I caught the tail end of the show over the hills I look out upon, before the lightening disappeared over the houses to the rear. I took a couple of test shots before the battery died, and luckily one captured the lightening.
It was Mr C's Squadrons annual families day today, when close family are treated to flights on Hercules C-130's and sometimes a go in the Hercules Flight Simulator.
This year, despite my travel sickness, I decided to go up, up and away. Its been 11 years since I last went up but I had to sit with a sick bag back then!
It was a fantastic day today, Little Miss E had a ball with all the great activities they had put on for children and Munchkin 1 and I went flying, hence my Blip for today. I thought for my 200th I'd pick something not many people would be able to photograph...so here is the view out the back with the ramp down over the Oxfordshire countryside, with the subtlest hint in the clouds. It was actually quite difficult to pick one but this had the edge over the shot of me flying and successfully landing the Simulator. (Mr C and Munckin 1 crashed and burned on landing...he he). Little Miss E loved the SIM as well, future pilot! My lad has had a go at it before but he was a lot younger so doesn't really remember, so his beaming smile this afternoon, absolutely made my day, just as Little Miss E's grin when she was riding the donkey.
It's days like these that make up for the months away.
