Leaving Gothenburg

The pilot returning to Gothenburg. Today was our last port of call as we returned to Sweden. We were docked in the commercial port, the first time on this trip, which is always interesting to watch all the activities. The other docks used have been cruise terminals, St Petersburg has a new one which is being developed on reclaimed land.

We were only in port for the morning, so the trip was short. A city tour and visit to the Botanical Gardens. A reminder of the attention our garden will need when we get home. We haven’t seen rain and it we have had blue skies in every port we have visited. I do hope there has been rain at home, during the night, so as not to inconvenience anyone there!!

We depart from Berlin tomorrow for our flight home. So this afternoon we need to get packed up and ready to roll. I’ve got a head cold, so very sniffy and sneezy, so not the most sociable at present. I hope it clears by next week as I’ve got a busy schedule.
