The Photo Bomber

As I mentioned in yesterday's post, Sally was full of sass and attitude. This is probably the worst photograph I've ever posted to my journal, but it makes me smile every time I look at it. This was taken a few weeks after Sally's arrival, and it shows our two Labradors collaborating on returning a thrown toy. Just as I snapped the picture, a small black meteorite whizzed by at about 90 miles per hour. That little girl must have been a racehorse in a former life, because she could really pour on the steam!

On a side note, we have been receiving visits from a hummingbird ever since Sally's death. The first time I saw it, it flew right up to the screen door near where I was sitting and just hovered there for the longest time. Yesterday, it came to the open window twice in the family room while I was in there reading, and today Mr. W saw it at the window again. Maybe it's bringing us a special message?
