Rabbit's Hole

Eye of the Storm

Had a little love, but I spread it thin,
Tore up my heart, and shut it down.
I give my life to the father, everything I beleive in
Try my best to understand, all your love can bring
But I'm wrapped in worldly pleasures,
Still giving all the superficial a chance.

How can I pretend that I don't know what's going on?
When every second, and every minute, another soul is gone.
I was made to believe I'd never love somebody else,
But inside my heart there's an empty room,
It's waiting for lightning, and it's waiting for you.

Another sun soaked season fades, and
We all look like we feel.
Torn apart between faith and fame,
But in you my light never fades,
You have stolen my heart.

I woke up with hungry eyes,
and a hungry heart, to my surprise,
Now I trust in you and all you do,
Everyone needs compassion,
A love that's never failing,
Let mercy fall on me.

I'm always breaking in worst,
But you don't remember the curse,
Continually failing these trials,
But you stand by me nonetheless,
There is no need to test my heart,
It beats, and is yours.
