Winter elm
I have chosen this today because after a frosty morning the sky looked so nice and blue. I have decided I especially like colour, texture and trees in photographs and this has all three. Maybe in time I will move to portraits and insects but neither have been that successful so far, maybe in the future I will be happier with my efforts in that department.
This is a fully grown elm in my back year. It casts shade in the summer, fertiliser from the possum droppings and lots of little elm trees coming up everywhere. I don't think I would put such a large tree in a suburban garden, there are plenty of parks for elm trees and plenty of other choices for a garden.
