The New Season

First game of the season, for me anyway, a friendly defeat by Man City. The Jambos showed some promise though, and a few of the new signings looked pretty good.
There seemed to be a trialist running the line but I don't think he has a future in the game; never up with play and allowed an offside goal for each side. Of course, it could be that he'd won a Specsavers competition to run the line, in which case I guess he was OK!
There was a good sized crowd but not sure why the police thought they'd need this level of crowd control. Must have been for the tourists.
