Testing out the ISO
Its ages since I did a simple flower still life and as natural light was fading fast (it was 8.30pm) I thought it would be a good exercise to try out the new camera with some high ISO exposures. Up to 1600 ISO there was little difference but by 3200 and 6400 you could see a little noise in the most saturated parts of the image but only if you viewed them at 100 percent. The one I’ve chosen to show you is one taken at 3200 ISO. This is a maximum contrast shot with black velvet background and a vase, which has a bright white background but I could not see any noise in the blacks or whites but only in the most vibrant reds. Pretty impressive.
