Going nowhere fast
Took the bike on the train for a long weekend with the girls in Aviemore. Yeterday morning I was 100 yards from the cottage when I crashed to the ground without knowing what had just happened. Standing up, I slipped again and only then realised that the road was sheet ice. Carefully I moved off slowly, feeling the back wheel spinning when I pushed on the pedals a little harder. All good until the next corner when I was again on the tarmac. No good this and I wheeled the bike back the short distance to the warmth of the kitchen. The photo above was taken today after the ice had gone and had been replaced by even more snow. LOTS of snow still remaining North of the Central Belt. A great 27 mile ride in the Aviemore - Nethy Bridge area.
