Cranachan
Burn's Night and Haggis for tea!
Actually, not really a proper Haggis; Heather's not that keen on the Real Stuff (click on the link for a good definition of the 'Real Stuff') so it was a vegetarian version. Served with neeps and tatties and smothered in a whisky sauce it was still very tasty.
Cranachan for dessert.
Actually, not really a proper Cranachan either; more a 'fusion' version of the traditional version, with a very international vibe going on. Scottish raspberries, honey, hobnob biscuits, Italian Mascarpone with a bit of Swiss Toblerone added to the mix. Absolutely gorgeous it was too - apart from the fact you needed a jack hammer to break up the biscuit base!
This is the moment Samantha finally admits that the combination of honey, biscuit and chocolate may have set just that wee bit too hard.
Stappit fu' noo!
