My Hero

My youngest son works at McDonalds so he does some funny shift patterns. Since Sunday he's been working the evening shift from 4.00pm to 1.00am. This means he goes to work before I get home and I've gone to bed before he gets home so I've not seen him for a few days now.

When I got up this morning I found these on the kitchen worktop. There was a little note balanced on top saying that he knew I must have been missing him and he hoped these would cheer me up.

I took a few to work with me to have at lunch time. I'm a big fan of chocolate usually, but on a hot sweltery day like today the chocolate had gone soft by mid-day and I didn't particularly enjoy them. I'll be keeping them in the fridge in future.
