Aquathlon

Another proud mummy moment ...

I saw a poster advertising an Aquathlon at Tooting Lido. The 8 year olds had to swim 60 metres (2 widths to those in the know) and run 500 metres. Easy, I thought, she could do that, and duly entered her.

On arriving at the Lido on Saturday am, suddenly I thought maybe we had bitten off more than we could chew: Lots of kids in tri suits, talc in the trainers etc. This was a serious race!

She entered anyway ... She did an amazing swim - out of ten kids she was 2nd out. Her transition was a little slow (something to work on) and she ran very well, coming in 5th out of 10. But best of all, she was first girl home so she got the gold for the girls!

So very proud of her for being so out of her comfort zone and winning!
