The underground river

Near the village of Sabang lies a natural treasure - the underground river, a 24km underground cave system with a river that spills out into the sea.

The underground river is the longest underground river system in the world and a UNESCO world heritage site. Lina and I visited the park and took a boat tour into the bowels of the earth.

We saw many roosting bats and surreal rock formations. Our guide wasn't so knowledgable about natural history, but he sure was creative with naming rocks and making jokes ...
