Mummy on a Mission

A Brief Moment of Calm...

... I like to try and link my images with my journal, but if that were the case, today I would have CHAOS or PANIC.

I had a busy day at work....but not a baby washed as they say. I walked through treacle, with no light at the end of the sticky tunnel.

I had "parents" afternoon at Little Miss E's preschool, so I left work a little early and found out what she had been up to and how she is on the Early Years scale. Im paraphrasing, but I think, 'she's doing just grand" sums it up...with oodles of confidence and self sufficiency for her age.Oh and she's not afraid of the big boys...she stands her ground. Thats ma girl!

Munckin 1, was in need of a haircut, so after school we went into town to do just that, to his favourite barbers. We waited and waited...and Little Miss E played Etch a sketch. It was hot. VERY hot. So next stop ice cream, a bit of food shopping and trip to the river to play Pooh sticks. To be honest I was delaying going home as I knew I had lots to do as one of the Estate Agents re coming in the morning.

So instead of a picture of chaos, you have a picture of my local town, which I thought looked rather lovely this afternoon. It was so hot there were two boys in the little river.

So after, this moment of escapism, Little miss E did her Poo face, poo followed, and so it was time to get home for obvious reasons. However.....when I extracted her from her pram, I discovered the pull up pants had exploded! Poo everywhere, pram, t shirt back, you name it it was there! An eventful full on change in a local supermarkets toilets and we went home.

Now, in true Bridget Jones fashion, when faced with adversity (well a tip of a house that needs to be tidied in order to sell) instead of vodka and Chaka Khan, I turned to wine and a picnic of chicken nuggets and salad!

Im sure in a minute I will extract my head from the sand, stop avoiding it and crack on with my broom.
