This image is of a canal three-way junction right in the centre of Birmingham. As you can see, there is a 'traffic island' right in the middle with its own direction sign, this feature being possibly unique in the British Isles.

To the right of the picture is the Malt House pub, in which Bill Clinton allegedly sank a pint during his visit to the G8 summit in May 1998.
