Helping with the laundry

I was changing the bed linen today when Bess decided it was the place to lie...she made herself very comfortable and was reluctant to budge!
The reason for a complete linen change today was that when my Schnauzer, Oscar, jumped excitedly on my bed to give me the morning newspaper that he always fetches, his paws were wet and muddy!!
