A New Visitor to the Yard.

Dear Diary,

After all the rain over the last two days, this frog ventured far from the banks of the stream on the edge of my property to check out my garden! It is a Green Frog (doesn't look very green except his lips!); also known as a Pond Frog. It is Maine's largest specie of frog and I was delighted he chose to visit me. He let me get quite close to him to make his portrait.

All winter it was Gaylord Grey Squirrel, in the Spring it was all the birds, and this summer it has been insects and now a frog just a few feet from my back door. Never a dull moment!
