Visiting the World

Devonport

I wasn't planning on doing much today, but after a browse of my Lonely Planet over breakfast I decided to get the ferry to Devonport.

It was a choppy 12 minutes.
Michael had recommended I go to the Navy Museum, and it was pretty interesting. It focused mainly on the NZ involvement in different wars from the last 100ish years.

When I left the wind had really picked up and the route to the lookout was closed. Walking back towards the town was a struggle along the seafront, and I saw a pretty big crash with a sail boat that was competing in a race.
It was a nice, colonial style town with quite a hippy vibe.

A very choppy ride back, and then a coffee with Noemie before dinner.
