The Harper's Private Car

We visited the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad museum in Durango CO today. A large selection of old steam era rail equipment was on display including this restored caboose and no information as to when it was last run. The only reference to the Harper name I could find is the current owner of the rail road. They run three trains every day for the 50 mile or so, 3 1/2hour ride from Durango to Silverton at 9300 ft (2837 m) a 3000ft climb and return.
