Sundial, Inverleith Park

The sundial is in the Sundial Garden in Inverleith Park.

This sundial has seen better days. Despite stone work having been replaced in some parts, it is useless for telling the time. While I admit it is a tad cloudy today, even if it were sunny, the gnomons are missing from all four sides. I suppose yuo could always being your own.

Why four sides? This is Scotland, and this far north the sun doesn't set in the west in summer, it sets way to the north of west.
