Happy Burns Night.....Kinda...

An Ode to a Scotch Pie

The knife & fork astride you dwell.
Tae breach your glorious crusty shell.
Wherein fantastic flavours dwell.
I canna wait to loose your magic spell.
On ma ain plate.
Whether yer naked or filled wi' beans.
The price is aye within a bodie's means.
Your crust is firm but not too hard.
It's just the right balance of flour, salt & lard.
The meat in the middle is spicey & braw.
There's naithin tae beat it, naithin at ah!
You're as Scottish as Bruce but you'll never die.
Lads & Lassies, I gie ye "The Pie".

So in the event of being unable to source a decent Haggis ( we have tried one from the same place we bought the pies & it was rotten!!) we have had to settle with Scotch Pies for Burns night!!! (The mushy peas were requested by Andrea....nothing to do with me !!)

Atleast the Talisker tastes good.....even if we need the air con on to make it cool enough to feel like drinking it!!!

Oh yeah & in an act of genius on the part of Aussies....the day after Burns night is Australia Day ( A National holiday ) so no work tomorrow !!!!

Now where is that whiskey !!!
