Blimey, the season seems to start early! Only 2 days after the World Cup final and I dragged Laura over to the New Meadow to see my new home town play against my old home town in a preseason friendly.

It was a very relaxed atmosphere -nobody really cares- with both clubs having a new manager, Albion old-boy Micky Mellon now in charge at Shrewsbury.
The 1st half was actually quite entertaining but Albion seemed to want to just play keep ball for most of the second. And Albion seemed to be practising short corners too, I don't think they took a prpoer one all game.

Laura says she wants to go to a couple of games this season. I wonder how long that'll last when the dark and cold set in?
