Llanca

It was only about an hour and a half on the coastal road from Argeles-sur-Mer to Llanca, where Aafke's parents own a house. They joined us for lunch on the hotel terrace. Round the table Aafke, Carla, Steve, Maarten and Jody - all excited about the arrival of grandchildren from Holland this afternoon - and, of course, the wedding.

Festival of the Sea being celebrated today so lots of loud explosions plus a flotilla of colourful, fishing boats. It's certainly an outside life here with walkers, cyclists, swimmers and sailors. Tonight we join the Deks for a BBQ and get to meet Reza and Miki (grandchildren), and to renew our acquaintance with their parents, Mark and Indra.
