My Time Abroad

Honey Chicken Fried Rice

^ A picture of a tree I passed today that appears to have been snapped in half.

So I was supposed to start class today but I didn't end up having class at all. All my film courses are divided into two days, one for film screenings and another for lecture. Today was a screening day but the professor didn't want to start the course until the lecture class on Thursday.

Then I was supposed to have a class in the afternoon but withdrew from it this morning cause it seemed really damn hard and kind of boring. Now i'm in a history class called "Blockbuster and Biopics" where we observe how history is interpreted through modern films. The 6 movies we are going to focus on are Gladiator, Elizabeth, The King's Speech, The Da Vinci Code and Lincoln. Haven't seen any of 'em so I'm excited. I'm happy with the switch and it didn't interfere with my day off on Monday!

So instead of class I went to McDonalds where my last inch of hope for a normal iced coffee lied. The McDonalds here are much nicer and have bigger menus with more variety. They have a separate section called McCafe where they serve coffee drinks and baked goods. But unfortunately, the iced coffee was the same as the rest I've tried. Both Starbucks and McDonalds don't have normal, fully liquid iced coffee meaning it's hopeless that I'll find it here and it just baffles me. The upside is I'll save money this way.

The flatmates took Blythe and I to get chinese food for dinner. I like it better here than in the states. :) We also watched This is the End together. #Classic
