Let There Be Light!

Thus spake Pilipo. And there was light. And it did shine forth upon the table, and throughout the kitchen. And it was good.

It was a very good day, indeed!

I won the first pétanque game this morning, and was well placed in the third game at the end of play. (We won't talk about the second game.)

While Cynthia was having her locks shorn, I walked to Trader Joe's, where I stocked up on marmalade, and picked up a couple of 750ml/25oz bottles of their Belgium-style golden ale. It's brewed by Unibroue, and it's excellent.

Then I walked to Hardware Sales to buy the materials to patch the hole in my shop wall -- with a 10% discount using my NCWA membership card. I just had time for a quick schooner of Good Ol' Boy Pale Ale at Kulshan Brewing on the way back.

After I had my haircut we stopped at Village Lighting to buy a new transformer for the kitchen light. I could have got one for half the price online, but I didn't feel like waiting, and I like to support local businesses.
