Middle Aged Man

One of the more entertaining history books I've read recently; Ian Mortimer's The Time Traveller's Guide To Medieval England, written as a travel guide for intrepid explorers voyaging to the fourteenth century, explaining in fascinating detail the world you can expect to find. The only disappointment is that I can't book myself a holiday in this land where cows and sheep are only the size of large dogs, forests in winter are bare skeletons with no evergreen trees to be seen, and vegetables are considered by the entire population to be poisonous.
