Supper

I was intending to blip my new shoes this evening, but decided to go for a drive down the Haven to see what was about. While lining up a shot of the boats this nice man comes along and says "you want to be pointing your camera in the other direction, as there is a barn owl looking for mice to feed its youngsters" he then invites me up to his farm yard, where there is barn owl nesting box with babies in :-0. As you can imagine i jumped at the chance :-). Whilst waiting patiently in this field of horse poo,lurking around the nesting box waiting for mummy barn owl to bring back the food, i spotted mummy flying over the field next door with lunch in her claws. Unfortunately the she didn't bring it straight back, thought she might have spotted me lurking so i backed off.
I then went home got my tripod, a cup of coffee and a hot pie ( care of Emma next door) and went back down the lane to camp out to try and get another photograph of her. Unfortunately they weren't as clear as this shot, although looked nice with the sunset in the background.
So the new shoes wil have to wait to blipped another day :-)
