Wool away (The End )

Last wool picture this year. The lorry in this morning to collect this years clip to deliver it to the wool mill at Galashiels. 69 sheets, which is the wool from around 3000 sheep. It will be graded at the mill and paid at various prices depending on the grade. It could be 40p /kilo for hill breeds like Swaledale to £1.40/kilo for fine wool like Romney. By the time the shearers and haulage are paid there isn't much left though.
Busy afternoon baling and wrapping silage after yesterdays rain.
