Cherries in rum

My husband got some berries from a customer, and since we're both allergic to fresh cherries, I had to cook or conserve them somehow (for some reason, we can both eat them if they've been cooked or baked, for example).

We only had a couple of litres of cherries and I didn't feel like making just a couple of jars of jam so decided to try cherries preserved in rum instead.

We'll see how they turn out...
