Slovenija!

When we got up this morning in Schladming it was very cloudy and raining so we decided to head for the sun - in Slovenija! The drive there was amazing, through the valleys and over the mountains. Got to a height of 5500 feet, went through some amazing clouds and ended in beautiful sunshine. We went to Bled to see the lake and it was truly beautiful. Had a boat ride over to the little island where there is a superb church. Then had a stroll along the edge if the lake in 28*, followed by the traditional dish of Originala Bletska Kremna Rezina (A gorgeous version of our cream and custard slice) and a glass of fresh lemonade.
We then went to Vintnar Gorge, a deep cleft in the rock with a fast flowing river, where the footpath consists of suspended wooden walkways overhanging the water - have never seen anything like that before. It was fantastic.
An all in all amazingly different and thoroughly enjoyable day.
