British Speedway Grand Prix 2014
It's that time again ... where all the shale and petrol heads descend onto the capital city and the Millennium Stadium for the annual round of the Speedway Grand Prix.
Dawn's parents as down as normal, but we did something different this year. Rather than catch the park and ride we risked driving into town, we got pretty much straight into the St David's Car Park, which was what we hoped. It is only a short walk to the entrance gate from there.
The stewards, as usual, were awesome, and allowed Dawn's parents to go in via the disable entrance, we went for a wander around the fan zone and met up with a few of our twitter friends we usually see up in Peterborough.
The Grand Prix itself was great fun as always, we had front row seats, so I took the 300mm lens this year. I have memory card full of photos to work through when I have time. I've made a start, and they can be found in my Flickr Album.
Britain's Tai Woffinden had an excellent night, and went into the Grand Final as favourite, but crowd favourite Greg Hancock came out winner, as he did in 2011!
So one of the years highlights is done and dusted, the tickets for 2015 go on sale on Monday ... the father in law will be on the case!
