Makoto - Find A Way ft. Deeizm

Back at work today.

Upon arriving back home I cooked dinner and watched TV via my iPad to add extra "noise" to the silence. As of late I've been not listening to music just to analyse myself without distraction. Everyone comes to a point where they reach a plateau, the hard part is finding direction to go "higher".

My co-worker mentioned iTunes U. I saw it but made further investigation and the platter of tertiary or higher learning courses available are amazing! I naturally drifted towards philosophy, perhaps because I need to find some sort of clarity or discipline to formulate the niggling thoughts plaguing my mind. A simple introductory course from Open University in England which had videos and audio from their staff got my mental juices flowing. I suddenly had a new found set of vocabulary that was always dormant in the back of my head but untapped due to either laziness or whatever reason (enquiry into the reasoning of this will be ventured eventually).

I'm not a particularly intellectual or smart person (yes, I'm feigning modesty) but clearly there is a desire to improve somewhat. Whatever field it is a human is a goal-striving being. We you not to have any goals you would remain inert and therefore useless... or would you? Hmmm, even the most vacuous of people have a function. My rubbish "blog" may inspire or cause people to convulse in disgust at how frivolously I use my words. My sister would often tease me for using big words. I simply need to find a way of expressing myself to which I feel comfortable.

The is reasoning to everything, but you must find it within yourself to enquire. I feel so much more settled being able to place reasoning for events that have happened in my life. Obviously through investigating the school of philosophy, albeit for a very short time via iTunes, is not a quick-fix solution to my problems, it's an ongoing journey in search for "truth". It's also a really great way of getting yourself out of arguments. :-P

There were other events today that were cool, such as my students giving me Brazilian food (cheese balls) or finding a pair of Dr. Dre Beats headphones/earbuds on my way home on the floor (!!!!). But somehow, being able to find a better mental state to organize the existence of occurrences puts me at ease, which is ultimately better than a pair of overpriced headphones.
