Does my tail look big in this?

I made the mistake of coming home for lunch today.

It wouldn't be an issue, but the mistake was getting comfy in the conservatory...I really didn't want to go back to work!

Mr A was out shopping, so I had a peaceful hour with just the garden critters for company (& amusement).

The birds now have an assortment of fatsnax, peanuts & seed to choose from, all out of reach of the squirrels and pigeons, so they were busy flitting about.

The squirrels still have the bird tables with sunflower seeds and peanuts. We think we have 2 male squirrels now as they're fighting for power; they squawk at each other like cats on heat!

As for the pigeons, they have been notably absent for the past few days.....ever since I came home to find feathers everywhere. There's obviously been a murder and that's put them off coming back (for now anyway).

Tonight, I have a date with Mr A. He's taking me for a meal as a last treat before he goes to America on Friday.

I teased him the other day that I'm glad to be shut of him for a while, but that couldn't be farther from the truth....I will miss him terribly!
I did think this year wouldn't be too bad, but with the 8 hour time difference it will be hard to communicate as easily as we did last year, so I'll miss him more.
We will figure something out :-)
